4 input/output modes:
Low input mode: 100kHz to 350MHz
High input mode: 240MHz to 960MHz
Low output mode: 100kHz to 350MHz (sinus)
High output mode: 240MHz to 960MHz (square wave)
Optional square wave output, fundamental frequency is -25dBm, connected to high input/output.
The frequency can be set to 1MHz, 2MHz, 4MHz, 10MHz, 15MHz or 30MHz.
Battery: The charging time on the minimum 500mA USB port or USB charger is up to 1 hour. Run for at least 2 hours on a fully charged battery.
PC control:
The USB interface implements the USB serial protocol (CDC), and a large number of commands can be called through the serial interface. These commands can be used to perform measurements or update internal settings. The Windows driver will be installed automatically after connecting to the Windows PC. Linux drivers are built into the kernel.
Q .Am I limtied to maximum 290 scan points?
A.In standalone operation the scan can use many measurement points with a large span and low RBW but the display is always using a maximum of 290 points. When using the tinysa in combination with a Pc the amount of points is unlimited. The windows control program supports scanning with up to 30000 measurement points
A.When unexplained interference occurs causing +/-1dB
eliminated by offsetting the zero span center frequency with 1/4 RB
Q . How are the additional inserted measurements consolidated into one displayed measurement?
A. The displayed measurement is the maximum additional measurements to ensure the level of a signal falling within only one measurement is correctly displayed.
Q. Can I inspect the SSB modulation of my transmitter?
A. As the minimum RBW is 2. 7kHZ it is impossible to look at details inside a 2.7kHZ wide SSB signal. With the careful setup, it is just possible to check the alternate sideband section or see the carrier rejection.
