This PICKit 3 is a simplified version without DEMO. Function brief introduction: PICKit 3 Debug is suitable for 8-bit and 16-bit PIC microcontroller (MCU) and dsPIC digital signal controller (DSC), and will support 32-bit PIC MCU later. In the future release of MPLAB IDE, free firmware upgrades will also provide support for new PIC MCU, DSC and PIC32 MCU. By using the free MPLAB integrated development environment, the PICKit 3 Debug makes it easier to explore the embedded control world and learn more quickly. The plug-and-play toolkit can be connected to and powered by any PC's USB. The plug-and-play toolkit can realize online debugging functions, such as pause, one-step, data or address breakpoints. In addition, since the 6-pin ICSP connector is similar to the one on PICKit 2 Debug, the PICKit 3 probe is compatible with the PICKit 2 demo kit. Using an RJ-11 to ICSP adapter (part number: AC164110), it can also be compatible with Microchip's MPLAB ICD 2 and MPLAB ICD 3. PICKit 3 is the latest low-end online debugger launched by MICROCHIP to promote the promotion of PIC32. It supports PIC MCU and DSC from 8 to 32 bits. It works on the MPLAB IDE development platform.
