The Mini D1 module is both a Wifi card and a powerful ARM microcontroller, this module is the exact equivalent of a standard NodeMCU module, in miniature. It is also based on the ESP12E with 4Mb flash and is fully compatible with NodeMCU and the Lua script (can be used instead of a NodeMCU module).
